our first lesson was on shading.first we made a value scale. then we picked a picture of a famous person and shaded the entire back and traced shapes that went through the paper onto the plain paper. and then we filled in the shapes with shading from the value scale we created to make it match the picture of the famous person we picked and we could even use cross hatching to shade. (this picture isnt mine, but it is a persons who did it great and understood the whole thing to do). so this week we had to pick a theme from like all fall down or wait a minute or something, and then we had to take whatever material we wanted to use,and we made a picture and was told to do shading like our last project. we were told to not be afraid of the dark. i was a rebel and decided not to pick a theme i decided to make my own theme this week. so i just did whatever i wanted to do this week pretty much. my theme was abstract art. so i took a pic and just drew random things on it. when we finished, we did some stuff with paint. how do i use my own unique ideas in my work? well i mean i literally just did what my heart and mind wanted me to do so it was obviously unique. did you use a source of inspiration and combine it with your ideas to make it original? well i didn't really need inspiration i just look around me and i see things that i want to draw and i just draw things that i wanted to . like i did .
